A 10ª edição do The Game Awards está chegando e sempre olhamos para o prêmio do Jogo do Ano que nesta ocasião está no páreo os jogos: Alan Wake 2 da Remedy Entertainment, Baldur’s Gate 3 da Larian Studios, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 da Insomniac Games, Resident Evil 4 da Capcom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder da Nintendo e The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, também da Nintendo.
Evento que traz o melhor da indústria dos videogames, reconhecendo jogos, estúdios e talentos criativos que se destacaram durante o ano de 2023, o The Game Awards é sempre um evento muito esperado para os jogadores.
Hoje, indo além dos jogos e abrangendo adaptações, temos a categoria de Melhor Adaptação que continua a se expandir, incluindo nomeações para adaptações de videogames para filmes e programas de streaming. Os indicados deste ano para Melhor Adaptação incluem Castlevania: Nocturno (Netflix), Gran Turismo (Sony Pictures), The Last of Us (HBO), Super Mario Bros. – o Filme (Illumination/Universal Pictures) e Twisted Metal (Peacock).
A Nintendo lidera as indicações deste ano no The Game Awards, com 15 indicações em seu portfólio, seguida pela Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation com 13 indicações, Xbox (incluindo Bethesda e Blizzard) com 10 indicações e Epic Games, que obteve a terceira maior quantidade de indicações, com 9.
Em 2022, o The Game Awards registrou um recorde de 103 milhões de transmissões ao vivo. O evento deste ano, marcado para o dia 7 de dezembro de 2023, será transmitido gratuitamente em mais de 30 plataformas de vídeo digital diferentes, incluindo YouTube, Twitch, Steam, Facebook, TikTok Live, X, WeChat Bilibili, Huya, DouYu, Xiaohongshu e Instagram Live.
O público terá a oportunidade de participar do The Game Awards por meio do servidor Discord oficial do evento, votando nos indicados nas semanas que antecedem o evento. As votações serão realizadas online, autenticadas através do site oficial do The Game Awards e do servidor oficial do Discord usando o TGA Voting Bot oficial. Na China, os fãs podem votar em seus favoritos no Bilibili, WeChat e Xiaohongshu.
O The Game Awards promete ser uma transmissão empolgante, com anúncios de novos jogos, performances musicais da The Game Awards Orchestra regida por Lorne Balfe, e premiações emocionantes. A transmissão ao vivo do evento ocorrerá no Peacock Theatre em Los Angeles, com a presença de um público limitado.
O The Game Awards é produzido por Geoff Keighley e Kimmie Kim, com LeRoy Bennett atuando como diretor criativo e Richard Preuss como diretor. Este ano, também apresenta a colaboração com a Twitch para o Twitch Predicts The Game Awards – uma nova extensão que permite que os espectadores opinem sobre os vencedores do The Game Awards durante a transmissão ao vivo.
